Summary of Position: This position is responsible for assisting customers and referral sources with their Medical Equipment needs timely and efficiently. This position is 8:30am – 5:00pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday with occasional Saturdays).

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Reports To: Customer Service Director

 

 

Summary of Position:

 

This position is responsible for assisting customers and referral sources with their Medical Equipment needs timely and efficiently.

 

 

 

Essential Job Requirements:

 

  • Assist customers with appropriate medical equipment
  • Responsible for complete data entry and physician orders for medical items
  • Ensure patient information is entered correctly and updated as necessary
  • Answer phones and direct to appropriate extensions
  • Understand insurance coverage and guidelines
  • Acquire pre-authorization on certain insurances
  • Responsible for pricing items and placing on sales floor
  • Check for items to be restocked in morning and afternoon
  • Keep showroom, shelves, desk and work area clean and organized
  • Call customers regarding special orders
  • Coordinate deliveries with logistics department
  • Close registers upon completion of business day
  • Roll phones at beginning and end of day
  • Inform purchasing of items that are low in stock
  • Track and/or correct rental serial numbers in QS1
  • Fit mastectomy patients for correct bras and prostheses
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

 

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 1-year customer service experience is preferred.

 

Skills & Equipment Requirements:

 

  • Office equipment used – computer, telephone, fax machine
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate well with patients and co-workers

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting (<50%), standing (<50%), walking (<50%), bending (<30%), stooping (<20%), reaching (<25%)
  • Occasionally lifting or moving items up to 30 pounds 30% of the time
  • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision

Inside, with controlled temperatures, good lighting and ventilation
