Local Pharmacist, RICK SAIN Installed at TPA 119th Annual Meeting

As President, he will serve as Chair of TPA’s Board of Directors and will remain on the TPA Board for the next five years.
Dr. Sain was also presented with the National Community Pharmacists Association Leadership Award and the McKesson Achievement Award during the events.


Dr. Sain is the President of Reeves-Sain Drug Store in Murfreesboro. He has worked at Reeves-Sain since graduation in 1989, which was Reeves Powell until 1995. Rick received his Pharm.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Dr. Sain was honored as TPA Young Pharmacist of the Year in 1996, Rutherford County Pharmacist of the Year in 1997, and UT College of Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year in 1998. He has served as Chair of the Tennessee Society of Independent Pharmacists, Board of Trustees member for the Tennessee Pharmacists Research and Education Foundation, and Chair of the TPA Professional Relations Committee. He has served on the Board of Governors for the UT National Alumni Association, and as the Middle Tennessee Vice-President of the UT College of Pharmacy Alumni Board. Rick is Past President of Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary and past member of the Board of Directors for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Sain and his wife Amy have two sons: 13-year-old Alec, and 4-year-old Ky.


The Tennessee Pharmacists Association, a professional organization of more than 2,000 pharmacists from all practice areas across the state, promotes the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care as a means of enhancing the knowledge, ethics and skills of pharmacists, as well as protecting and enhancing public health.
